Nepal Honeymoon Tour Detailed itinerary
Day 1. KATHMANDU
Arrive At International Airport Kathmandu. Upon arrival met & welcome by representative from Mountain Sherpa Trekking, assist and transfer to the Hotel. Free days, tour discussion with Guide and Manager Overnight at Hotel. Transportation by Car.
Day 2: KATHMANDU
A.M.: Sightseeing tour of Kathmandu city including the old Durbar square -protected as an UNESCO world Heritage Site, Old Royal Palace, the Temple of the Living Goddess as well as Kasthamandup – a temple built from a single tree from which the city of Kathmandu derives its name. Swayambhunath – the oldest Buddhist shrine, looking east from here one can see the entire Kathmandu valley spread out below.
P.M.: Sightseeing tour of Pasupatinath Temple – the most sacred of the Hindu temples in Nepal dedicated to Lord Shiva built in 1696. Pasupatinath draws thousands of pilgrims every year and devotees from all over the world. We continue on to Boudhanath – the world’s largest stupa, it looms 36 meters high and presents one of the most fascinating specimens of stupa design. Pasupatinath and Boudhanath are also listed in the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
We continue on for sightseeing tour of Patan city – the city of architecture and fine arts founded in 250 AD, previously known as Lalitpur. It is sometimes called the “Town with a Thousand Golden Roofs”. Here one visits the Durbar Square, Royal baths, Mahaboudha, Krishna Mandir and Hirayani Mahabharata Temple (the Golden Temple). We will also visit the Tibetan Handicraft Centre at Jawalakhel to watch carpet weaving.
Day 3. KATHMANDU-NAGARKOT
A.M.: Drive to Domestic Airport for Mountain Flight. This one-hour flight is the best thing ever happened towards exposing Mt. Everest – the highest peak of the world to a large number of visitors with limited time. Along with the spectacular view of the Everest, the passengers can also view a host of other giants of the Himalayas such as Shisha Pangma, Melungtse, ChoOyu, Pumori, Nuptse, Lhotse and AmaDablam among others. This experience is enough to last a lifetime.
A.M.: Sightseeing of Bhaktapur city – Kathmandu valley’s most medieval city also known as Bhadgaon, is situated about 10 miles east of Kathmandu and was one of the three kingdoms of the Mallas. Here one will visit the Lion Gate, the Picture Gallery, the Golden Gate and the Palace, which shows off the Newari craftsmanship of, carved wooden windows and latticework.
After sightseeing tour of Bhaktapur city, continue drive to Nagarkot. Nagarkot – at a height of 2,099 meters above sea level, the hill to is visited for viewing beautiful sunrises and sunsets over the Himalayas.
Day 4. NAGARKOT-DHULIKHEL
Early morning view sunrise. After breakfast start drive to Dhulikhel. Dhulikhel – this scenic and ancient town is situated 30 Kms east of Kathmandu on the Arniko highway. From here one can have a complete panoramic view of the snowy ranges of the Himalayas.
After Lunch, we will going to visit Namobuddha ( a holy Buddhist Monastery and place of self sacrifice by Buddha), it is about 1 hour further drive by CAR but due to little poor road conditions, we have to walk little bit if necessary.
Day 5. DHULIKHEL- CHITWAN NATIONAL PARK
From Dhulikhel drive to Kathmandu. Fly or drive to Chit wan. On arrival the guests will be met by the naturalists and transferred by the river boats and elephants / land rovers to the Lodge / Camp. Royal Chit wan National Park, who is the home of the rare one horned rhinoceros, sloth bear, wild boar, guar (bison), 4 species of deer, and 2 Species of monkeys, 2 species of crocodiles, leopard, the elusive Royal Bengal Tiger, over 450 species of birds and various other reptiles. The Manager will brief the guests about the activities at the camp and assign the rooms. In the late afternoon, the guests will be taken for a jungle safari on elephant back so that they can penetrate deep into the jungle for viewing and photographing wildlife or a jungle walk is organized for the guests to experience the abundant bird life and the flora and fauna of the Park. If you are lucky, you may see the elusive Royal Bengal Tiger both on nature walk as well as on elephant safari. Well stocked bar will cater to the needs of the thirsty. A hearty meal of continental or Nepalese cuisine will be served in the evening around the campfire. Overnight at the Lodge / Camp.
Day 6 .CHITWAN NATIONAL PARK
Early morning guests will be mounted on elephant back and taken for a jungle safari for 2-3 hours penetrating through dense grasslands to view wildlife. This grass commonly known as elephant grass is dense and grows to a height 18-20 ft. It is the favorite’s habitat of the rhinoceros and other mammals. After breakfast, the guests are taken to our elephant stables where the senior naturalists will give a talk about the habits of the elephants. Here one may witness the rare scene of the elephants at bath. Lunch at the camp.
In the afternoon you may relax around the camp or take a drive through the jungles in land rovers followed by a dugout canoe ride down the Narayani river where there are very good chances of viewing the gharial crocodiles as well as the mugger crocodiles, fresh water dolphins, others and varieties of water birds or you may go on a nature walk or bird watching with one of our naturalists to know about the flora of the Royal Chit wan National Park. At the end of the canoe ride, waiting land rovers will drive you back to the camp.
In the evening there will be a Nepalese folk dance programme featuring Tharu dances and other Nepalese folk dances. A hearty and tasty dinner will be served around the campfire. Overnight at the Lodge / Camp.
Day 7. CHITWAN- POKHARA (City of Mountains, Lakes & Caves)
After Breakfast, You will drive to Pokhara). It is about 5 hrs scenic drives by bank of popular Trisuli rafting river Check into Hotel and free for lake side walk and boating at Fewa Lake in the evening.
Day 8. POKHARA
AM: Early in the Morning Drive to Sarankot Hill( One of best hill of Pokhara city,from where you can really find magical views of Mountains, drive back and visit Mahendra caves, Gupteshower cave, Seti River George, Bhindya basini Temple etc.. afternoon Hike/ Trek to World peace Stupa( 3 hrs) for views of Pokhara valley and areas.
Pokhara – one of the most picturesque valleys in Nepal. Pokhara lays 200 Kms west of Kathmandu, under the shadows of the Annapurna Range. A rare combination of snow-clad mountains, crystal clear lakes, streams, villages inhabited by friendly ethnic tribes.
AM: Transfer to airport fly Pokhara / Kathmandu. Transfer to hotel.
Free in Kathmandu for just relax or last minute shopping etc… get around etc..
