Pikey Peak & Numbur Base Camp trek

The Lower Solukhumbu with Pikey Peak & Numbur Base Camp trekking adventure covers the three sectors of solukhumbu region which are lower solukhumbu region, the pikey peak and base camp of Numburchuili himal. The lower solukhmubu region covers the area starting from Jiri district ending at salleri district of Nepal. The Pikey Peak is one of the tallest hill of lower solukhumbu region of 4065 meters which is one of the fascinating viewpoints for Numburchuli Himal and other Himalayas of Everest region. The Pikey Peak is popular viewpoint of sunrise and sunset views in the backdrop of beautiful panoramic Himalayas.  The Numburchuli Himalaya of 6959meters is generally known as mini-Everest as it is often mistaken as the Everest when it is viewed from Nagarkot hill of Kathmandu valley. The Numburchuili Himalaya has similarity in shape with Mount Everest. The number base camp refers to the  base camp of Numburchuili Himal which is also known as Numbur Cheese Circuit in the list trekking adventures in trekking guidebooks of Nepal. The world famous holy lake known as the Milky Lake and Dudh Kunda in local languages lies in the lap of Numbur base camp dominated by ice glaciers. The antique Buddhist Shrine named as Kau Gumba lies in the upper Likhu Khola Valley dominated by high rock and snow summits.

The lower solukhumbu region of Nepal lies in the north-eastern region of Nepal on the foothills of Himalayas. The travelers cross the traditional mountain settlements of Jiri, Changma, Goli GOmpa, Pieky hill, Chalisa, Numbur base camp, Holy Milky Lake finally ending at Salleri bazaar of solukhumbu district. The travelers are taken to ancient Chiwan Monastry and Junbesi Monastry of Sherpa civilization. The traditional village of lower solukhumbu region is full of antique Buddhist gompas and monasteries. The lower solukhumbu is cold and snow in December to February and the tourists season for this region is March to May and September-November.
